DIY Chemical Free Cleaning Products

DIY Cleaners with Essential Oils are budget friendly and reduce the chemicals in your home!

 

There are natural solutions for nearly every cleaning task and I am going to share my favourite ones with you.

 ALL PURPOSE CLEANER


  A surface cleaner serves an all-purpose role in the home and can be used to clean many      surfaces: kitchen and bathroom cupboards, the inside of the fridge/freezer, kitchen and     bathroom surfaces. This recipe is non-toxic and gentle enough to use just about anywhere,    but it still has excellent cleaning power.

 What you'll need:

Add the drops of oil first and then add water and vinegar into the spray bottle and shake.

 WINDOW CLEANER

 Making your own window cleaner is so easy and cheap. Its great for the environment as they are non toxic and biodegradable and best of all smells wonderful.

  • 500 ml amber spray bottle
  • 250 ml white vinegar
  • 250 ml water (preferably distilled)
  • 5 drops of lemon or lavender oil
To use, just spray your homemade window cleaner onto your glass surface and wipe off with newspaper or a microfiber cloth. If you have a wax build up from using chemical window cleaners, start by cleaning with the heavy duty cleaner first to remove build up.

HEAVY DUTY WINDOW CLEANER

This recipe is for really greasy, grimy windows. Combine

  • 240 ml water (preferably distilled)
  • 240 ml white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent
  • 5 drops of lemon or lavender essential oil

into a 500 ml spray bottle and shake well. To use, spray on and wipe off with newspaper or lint-free cloth.

WOOD FURNITURE POLISH


  Save lots of money by making your own DIY wood  furniture polish.

  Environmentally-friendly: You won't have any aerosol cans dispersing propellant and needing disposal. 

 

 

 

 

Combine into a 100 ml spray bottle: 

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup White Vinegar
  • 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
  • 5 drops Orange Essential Oil

Mix together and shake before use.
